A phone lasts three years. A coat, maybe ten. A ring outlives everyone at the table it was given across. Aurelia exists because objects with that kind of future deserve to be made differently — slowly, transparently, and by hand.

The making
Five steps, no shortcuts

Drawn, then carved
Every piece begins as a pencil study — the Odessa collection still sells under its original watercolours — before it is carved by hand in jeweller's wax. If a curve doesn't feel right between two fingers, it never reaches metal.

Cast in recycled gold
We cast in small batches of 100% recycled 14k and 18k gold and sterling silver, refined in Canada. Mining new gold for new jewelry is a habit the industry can retire; heirlooms should start responsibly.

Stones with passports
Zambian emeralds, freshwater pearls, Australian opal, aquamarine — every stone arrives with its origin documented, and we disclose every treatment, down to the traditional oiling of an emerald.

Set under the loupe
Pavé is set one grain at a time; bezels are burnished by hand until stone and metal read as one surface. A setter signs off on every piece — literally, in the atelier ledger.

Hallmarked and wrapped
Each finished piece is hallmarked, polished, and wrapped in the atelier's signature paper with a handwritten card. It leaves looking like what it is: the first day of a long life.

Recycled metals only
All gold and silver is certified recycled — melted, refined and re-alloyed without a gram of newly mined metal.

Every diamond, emerald, opal and pearl is bought from named sources we visit, with treatments disclosed in writing.

Design, casting, setting and finishing all happen on Gild Lane. When your piece needs care, the hands that made it do the work.
Lifetime atelier care
Every piece comes home, free, forever
Cleaning, prong checks, re-polishing, clasp repairs, one lifetime re-plating for vermeil — all complimentary for the life of the piece, whoever owns it by then. Bring it in, or use the insured mail-in kit we send on request. An heirloom is a relationship, not a transaction.
